Machine

Basic machine information. A machine is a physical or virtual device that can be scanned by OctoSAM Inventory. A machine can also be a mobile device such as a phone or tablet.

DirectoryDisabled	boolean	True if the UserAccountControl attribute has the disable bit set

FirstScan	datetime	Date/Time of first scan of this machine
FoundInDirectory	boolean	True if the object could be found in Active Directory at last check
FullyQualifiedDomainName	string	Fully qualified domain name as seen by the scanner through reverse lookup of the network address
Guid	guid	A unique ID that can be used to link to this machine object by external applications
HardwareUniqueID	string	Unique hardware ID if supported by the hardware. May not change with operating system re-install for physical systems.
HintHasAccessLog	boolean	True if machine has UAL data available
HintHasAutoStart	boolean	True if machine has scanned Windows AutosStart information

ID	numeric	Internal ID for the Machine entity (Primary Key)

IgnoreForRollout	boolean	Reserved for future use
IgnoreNewSignatures	boolean	If true, do not create new software signatures if only seen on this machine or others that have the IgnoreNewSignatures flag set. Can be set for test and development machines.
ImporterInstance	string	Name of the ImporterInstance. Used if you have multiple import module instances writing into the same database.
ImportSourceID	numeric	ID of the import module that created the entity. 1=OctoscanImportService.
LastBasicHardwareFromWmi	datetime	Date/Time basic hardware info was last calculated from WMI for this machine
LastFoundInDirectory	datetime	Time the object was last found in the directory service
LastFoundInEntraId	datetime	Date/Time this device was last found in Entra ID
LastHardwareScan	datetime	Time of the last imported WMI scan
LastHardwareScanGUID	guid	GUID of the last imported WMI scan
LastModification	datetime	Date/Time of last write to this entity
LastModifiedBy	string	Windows User ID that last updated this Machine record through the UI
LastScan	datetime	Date/Time of the last imported scan for this machine as reported by the machine (may be out of sync)
LastScanGUID	guid	GUID of the last imported .scan file for this entity.
LastScannerTag	string	Command-line tag that was specified on the last scan of this machine
LastSignatureScan	datetime	Time of the last imported software signature scan for this machine

LastUalScan	datetime	Time of the last imported User Access Logging scan on this machine. Null for machines that don't support UAL.

LastUserID	numeric	Internal ID that references the User entity (Foreign Key)
ManufacturerID	numeric	Internal ID that references the Manufacturer entity (Foreign Key)
MappingTag	string	This field can be used for custom mapping logic
Model	string	Model of the Machine as defined in WMI
MostFrequentUserID	numeric	Internal ID that references the User entity (Foreign Key)
MsftDirectAccessConfigured	boolean	True if Microsoft Direct Access configuration was found at last scan
Name	string	Machine name (computer name)
NetworkAddress	string	Network address, usually the IP number
NetworkDefaultGateway	string	Network default gateway
NetworkDHCP	boolean	True if DHCP is enabled on the main interface of the machine
NetworkDNS	string	Addresses of configured DNS servers
NetworkMacAddress	string	MAC address of the main interface (corresponds to NetworkNetworkAddress
NetworkNetworkAddress	string	Network address calculated from NetworkAddress and NetworkSubnetkMask fields
NetworkNetworkCIDR	string	Network in CIDR notation
NetworkNetworkName	string	Network name can be set from an external source. Not used by OctoSAM.
NetworkSubnetMask	string	Subnet mask if network address is an ip number

NumberOfCores	numeric	Number of cores as reported by WMI
NumberOfLogicalProcessors	numeric	Number of logical processors as reported by WMI

ObjectStateID	numeric	Internal ID that references the ObjectState entity (Foreign Key)
OperatingSystem	string	Full name of the OS
OperatingSystemBits	numeric	32 or 64 bit
OperatingSystemBuild	string	Build number of the OS
OperatingSystemCsdVersion	string	CSDVersion field for Windows systems. This file may be interpreted by partner systems such as Flexera One.
OperatingSystemDisplayVersion	string	DisplayVersion for operating systems that support this attribute. Newer Windows versions use this instead of ReleaseID.
OperatingSystemEdition	string	An OS specific edition marker
OperatingSystemExtraData	string	Extra data collected for operating system identification
OperatingSystemFamily	string	A short name to identify different operating system families
OperatingSystemInstallDate	datetime	Date/Time this OS instance was installed (as reported by WMI)
OperatingSystemLanguage	string	Language of the operating system as reported by WMI in cleartext
OperatingSystemLastBootUpTime	datetime	DateTime the operating system last booted
OperatingSystemMajor	numeric	Major version
OperatingSystemMinor	numeric	Minor version
OperatingSystemPrintableName	string	Consolidated operating system name for use in queries and reports
OperatingSystemProductInfo	numeric	For Windows, contains the result of the GetProductInfo() system call.

OperatingSystemPublisher	string	Publisher of the OS.
OperatingSystemRelease	string	An OS specific release marker. For Windows 10 contains the 'Version'.
OperatingSystemServer	boolean	True if this OS is a server version
OperatingSystemSoftwarePublisherID	numeric	Internal ID that references the SoftwarePublisher entity (Foreign Key)
OperatingSystemSuiteMask	numeric	For Windows, contains the SuiteMask.
OperatingSystemUniqueID	string	Unique operating system ID if supported by the operating system. May not change during the lifetime of the operating system instance. May change at re-install of the OS.
OperatingSystemUpdateBuildRevision	numeric	Windows UBR number
OperatingSystemVersion	string	Additional version information about the OS
OracleCoreFactor	float	Oracle Core Factor to use for Oracle pricing. Queries should always use this field.
OracleCoreFactorFromCatalog	float	Oracle Core Factor as determined by the OctoSAM catalog
OracleCoreFactorManual	float	Optional manually entered Oracle Core Factor
OracleCoreFactorOverride	boolean	When True, the manual Oracle Core Factor overrides the factor from the catalog
OrganizationID	numeric	Internal ID that references the Organization entity (Foreign Key)
PCSystemType	string	PC system type as defined in WMI
PhysicalMemory	numeric	Amount of physical memory in the system as reported by WMI
PrintableName	string	Use this name in reports for consistency and to avoid having to build the printable name from its parts
Processor	string	Processor Name as reported by WMI
ProcessorFamily	string	Processor family as defined in WMI
ProcessorManufacturerID	numeric	Internal ID that references the Manufacturer entity (Foreign Key)
ProcessorSpeed	numeric	Max speed of the processor in MHz

SynchLastSynch	datetime	Date/Time of last synchronization of this machine with the partner CMDB. Not used by OctoSAM Inventory
SynchTokenID	string	Can be used for synchronization with another inventory or CMDB system. Holds the key to the identical item in the CMDB. Not used by OctoSAM Inventory
TerminalServicesInstalled	boolean	True, if Terminal Services are installed
VirtualizationHost	boolean	True if this machine hosts virtual machines
VirtualizationManagementSystemID	numeric	Internal ID that references the VirtualizationManagementSystem entity (Foreign Key)
VirtualMachine	boolean	True if this is a virtual machine
VirtualMachineGUID	guid	Optional. Used for mapping virtual machine information for MS Hyper-V and possibly other systems that use a GUID to identify a virtual machine.
