During software installation, we often need to install or update 3rd party components.

Required internet connections during operation¶
Microsoft Graph API¶
The OctoSAM import service needs to connect to Microsoft Graph. See Microsoft Documentation.
Adobe cloud REST API¶
See Adobe documentation for API urls.
ServiceNow REST API¶
When using bi-directional connection to ServiceNow the Import service calls the ServiceNow REST API.
OctoSAM catalog Updates¶
The OctoSAM import service updates its catalog from the Octosoft Website https://octosoft.ch Please allow outgoing connections from the import service to https://octosoft.ch
Telemetry data¶
During catalog updates, the import service sends telemetry data to Octosoft.
Minimal telemetry data can be set in the appsettings.config file, see CatalogUpdate:MinimalTelemetrySet documentation in the sample configuration file.
If minimal is selected, the values marked // optional are not sent to Octosoft.
