Additional required software for OctoSAM server

OctoSAM requires that Microsoft .NET (.net core) Runtime (MIT License) is installed on the OctoSAM server.

Both of the following need to be installed:

  • Hosting Bundle
  • Desktop Runtime x64

OctoSAM requires that Microsoft PowerShell 7.5 is installed on the OctoSAM server. The exact installed version of PowerShell should correspond to the version supported by the installed version of .NET (core) runtime.

Additional optional software for dashboarding

OctoSAM can optionally integrate with Grafana for advanced dashboarding capabilities.

Octosoft recommends that the following free or open source software be used in conjunction with OctoSAM. This should be installed on the OctoSAM server if the relevant OctoSAM features are to be used.

Optionally, a self-extracting compressed version of the Windows scanner can be obtained that uses the UPX executable packer by Markus F.X.J. Oberhumer, Laszlo Molnar, and John Reiser (License).
