Machine

Basic machine information. A machine is a physical or virtual device that can be scanned by OctoSAM Inventory. A machine can also be a mobile device such as a phone or tablet.

EntraIdIsManagementRestricted boolean Indicates whether a device belongs to a restricted management administrative unit (RMAU). When this property is true, high-privilege tenant-level administrators are blocked from modifying the device; only administrators explicitly scoped to that specific administrative unit can manage it.
EntraIdIsRooted boolean Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Authenticator enforce automated security checks that block work or school credentials on rooted Android or jailbroken iOS devices.
EntraIdManagementType string Defines the channel or authority managing the device. It indicates how the device communicates with management and security tooling.
EntraIdOnPremisesLastSyncDateTime datetime OnPremisesLastSyncDateTime field from Entra ID
EntraIdOnPremisesSecurityIdentifier string The on-premises security identifier (SID) for the device, used to identify the device in on-premises Active Directory environments. It is populated only for Hybrid Azure AD joined devices and remains empty for cloud-only Entra ID joined devices.
EntraIdOnPremisesSyncEnabled boolean True if on-premises sync is enabled for this machine in Entra ID
EntraIdPhysicalIds string A list of physical IDs associated with the device, which can be used to identify the device in on-premises Active Directory environments. It is populated only for Hybrid Azure AD joined devices and remains empty for cloud-only Entra ID joined devices.

ExcludeFromSoftwareInventory boolean If true, the machine is excluded from Software Inventory. Signatures imported for this machine are ignored. This can be useful for development machines used for building of installation packages.

FoundInDirectory boolean True if the object could be found in Active Directory at last check
FullyQualifiedDomainName string Fully qualified domain name as seen by the scanner through reverse lookup of the network address
Guid guid A unique ID that can be used to link to this machine object by external applications
HardwareUniqueID string Unique hardware ID if supported by the hardware. May not change with operating system re-install for physical systems.

HintHasAutoStart boolean True if machine has scanned Windows AutoStart information

OperatingSystemDisplayVersion string DisplayVersion for operating systems that support this attribute. Newer Windows versions use this instead of ReleaseID.

RawManufacturer string Manufacturer of the machine as scanned from the hardware. This is not normalized and may contain different spellings of the same manufacturer.

ScannedDistinguishedName string Distinguished computer name as seen locally from the scanner. This is collected using the AdsiInfo COM object and may differ from the DirectoryPath field.

SynchLastSynch datetime Date/Time of last synchronization of this machine with the partner CMDB. Not used by OctoSAM Inventory.
SynchTokenID string Can be used for synchronization with another inventory or CMDB system. Holds the key to the identical item in the CMDB. Not used by OctoSAM Inventory.
TerminalServicesInstalled boolean True if Terminal Services are installed
VirtualizationHost boolean True if this machine hosts virtual machines
VirtualizationManagementSystemID numeric Internal ID that references the VirtualizationManagementSystem entity (Foreign Key)
VirtualMachine boolean True if this is a virtual machine
VirtualMachineGUID guid Optional. Used for mapping virtual machine information for MS Hyper-V and possibly other systems that use a GUID to identify a virtual machine.
